Mr Whirly Says:
” One of my all time favourite wines. These vines are tough as hell and they manage to survive the Australian heat without irrigation. A unusual blend of Shiraz and Cabernet, only the Aussie would do this, but it works really well. Classy wine. Will drink well from now and for another 10-15 years.”
Winemakers tasting notes:
“For fourty years over two generations we have been making this wine. It is our history and epitomises our ideology, respect the terroir in which the grapes grow and allow the hands of god to prevail in the winemaking”. Decant for at least 4-5 hours before drinking since still quite young
The 2020 Graeme’s Shiraz Cabernet blend from Passing Clouds is bright purple with a ruby hue. The nose is a rich array of blue and black fruits, complexity comes with barbecue char, rich earth, cocoa, and hints of olive. The palate is showing full, with pleasant grippy tannin, indicating the harmony the Cabernet and Shiraz have found. Red and black fruit shine, with balance and intriguing herbaceous finish.”
