Mr Whirly says:
” Ripasso. Does anyone know what this means? To re-pass yes? To pass through. Indeed, correct! Well done. The juices from the grapes ( Grapes are Rondinella, Corvina, Molinara & Croatina) are passed through the dried grape skins of the wine that makes Amarone. This produces a wine of finesse and punch yet with subtlety and class. Its velvety smooth and quite beautiful to drink. Pair with a lovely sirloin from your local butcher. 2-3 hours decanting would be perfect.”
Winemakers notes:
” This wine distinguishes itself by deep, ruby shade, offering a spicy hint of tabacco and mature cherry. Full bodied, soft to the palate with a delicate tannin, its a perfect complement to cold meats, cheeses, rich pastries and meat.”
