” New wine for Mr whirly, but been cellared for 5 years in my cellar in SW16. So fabulous Provenance. Lytton Springs is the same blend as ” Geyserville” but with a little more Petite Sirah ( 23%) and a little less Zinfandel ( 69%) alongside 6% Carignan and 2% Mataro. Top wine, not tasted but scores 92 points plus.”

” The 2016 Lytton Springs is also excellent, offering aroma’s of crushed currants, plums, candied violets and baked clay. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, rich and youthfully chewy with a crunchy core of fruit and fine grained but firm structuring tannins. Its a bit more burly and rustic than the satiny and sumptuous ‘ Geyserville” this year- no surprise given that the blend contains fully 23% Petite Sirah.”
