Cuvée Paul 2022, Christophe Chapillon, Aragon, DOP Calatayud
Mr Whirly says:
” I first imported this wine in 2012 and I have always loved it. Made from the grape that Aragon is renowned for, Garnacha, 100%. 85 Year old vines, at 800-900 metres in height. It’s possibly my favourite red from Chapillon. Full of fresh berry fruit, summer fruits rather than Autumn, think crushed blueberries and mulberries. Elegant juice. Drinking well now and in the coming 1-2 years. This wine is meant to be drunk now.”
” A fruity red with lightly firm tannins and plenty of berry and chocolate character. But it’s not overpowering. In fact its fresh and lively”
